Infogrid was entering a period of rapid growth. Having developed technology that helped organisations better understand and manage the performance of their buildings, the business needed a brand capable of matching its ambition.
The challenge was to balance two worlds. On one side sat the realities of infrastructure, facilities management and industrial environments. On the other sat a future-focused mission to make buildings smarter, more efficient and more sustainable. The brand needed to communicate both credibility and optimism, helping position Infogrid as a leader in a category that was only just beginning to emerge.
We created a visual identity inspired by the relationship between urban environments and nature. The concept of "urban nature" became a central theme throughout the brand, reflecting Infogrid's mission to use technology to create healthier, more sustainable buildings and cities. The identity combined architectural forms, floor plans and built environments with organic patterns and natural systems. A custom icon was developed from the geometry of Infogrid's hardware devices, while the wider visual language drew inspiration from the angular structures found throughout modern cities. This was supported by a flexible graphic system, motion principles and a distinctive colour palette designed to feel both technological and environmentally conscious.
The result was a brand built to scale, capable of supporting product innovation, market expansion and international growth.
The Infogrid brand was created at a pivotal stage in the company's growth journey. The identity helped establish the business as a recognised leader within the emerging building intelligence category, providing a platform for expansion across new markets, products and customer segments. Over the years that followed, Infogrid grew significantly, expanded internationally and successfully integrated multiple acquisitions as the business matured. Ultimately, the company evolved into a larger unified organisation, bringing together several technologies under a new corporate structure. Our work helped lay the foundations for that growth, creating a brand designed not just for where the company was, but where it was heading.
